有人可能会以为，《铁达尼号·Titanic》的《My Heart Will Go On》是席琳狄蓊（Celine Dion）第一首红遍全球的电影主题曲。

其实不然，让她奠定西洋天后位置的《Because You Loved Me》，也是一首电影主题曲。歌曲隔年在第39届格林美颁奖礼上还获得“最佳影视歌曲”奖。

《Because You Loved Me》收录在席琳狄蓊1996年3月11日推出的《Falling into You》专辑中，是同年美国爱情浪漫电影《舍不得你·Up Close and Personal》的主题曲。该片由罗拔烈福（Robert Redford）及米雪菲花（Michelle Pfeiffer）主演。
 

《Because You Loved Me》看似首以“爱”为题的情歌，但写的其实是亲情，那是原创人黛安华伦（Diane Warren）写给她父亲的，感谢他在自己15岁时给予音乐事业方面的鼓励和支持。

这首歌也不是特别为电影而创作的，只因歌词内容与电影的氛围相近，才会被电影公司采用。不过歌曲并没有收录在电影原声专辑中，只收录在席琳狄蓊个人专辑中。随着电影大受影迷欢迎，主题曲也随即走红，让来自加拿大的席琳狄蓊，在国际的知名度更进一步。
